Construction Adjudication

CEDR Solve is an Adjudicator Nominating Body (ANB).

Adjudication is intended as an interim dispute resolution process with the adjudicator giving a decision on disputes as they arise during the course of a construction contract. The decision is binding unless or until the dispute is finally determined by court proceedings, arbitration or by agreement of the parties via negotiation or mediation.

Using CEDR Solve as an ANB

CEDR Solve’s Adjudication procedure has been designed to offer clients quick, cost-effective access to the leading adjudicators.

We have removed the referral fees commonly demanded by most ANBs when an adjudicator is appointed. This represents an instant saving for the parties of up to £500.

Since we do not have to wait for the payment to be made before the adjudication takes place we have reduced the maximum time to nominate an adjudicator from 5 days to 3 days.

Construction Adjudication Rules

We have updated our Rules for Construction Adjudication, which now incorporates mediation, to allow parties to reach their own agreement if they wish, within the parameters of statutory obligations.

Our Procedure may be incorporated into any contract and, uniquely, provide for the dispute to be referred to mediation at any time before the issue of the adjudicator's decision.
