Having practised as a commercial and property lawyer for a number of years, Danny was accredited as a mediator in the UK in 2004 and by CEDR in 2005. Previously was an accredited mediator in Australia and has undertaken mediations with international elements. Now based in London, Danny mediates regularly in the commercial sector, with particular expertise in cross-border disputes.
Having successfully formed and managed his own businesses, Danny fully appreciates the realities and underpinnings of the business environment. He has worked with parties from a variety of cultural backgrounds and has a clear understanding of the dynamics of mediating across national boundaries.
Actively involved in solving conflict and disputes, both formally and on an informal basis, for many years, Danny has worked with diverse ethnic groups including Chinese, Indonesian, Kurdish, Iranian, Indian, Danish, American, Vietnamese, Malay, Iraqi and Aborigines. Danny speaks fluent Chinese Mandarin and Indonesian.

Professional background

Danny joined CEDR as Director, Asia Development last year, previously working with the organisation as a Business Development consultant. He is a CEDR Solve mediator and dual qualified UK/Australian lawyer.

Currently heading a project to develop CEDR's regional presence in the UK, he is also working towards increasing CEDR's capacity in offering cross-cultural mediation and negotiation services and to enhance CEDR's position as a premier global dispute resolution services provider.

Prior to returning to the UK in 2004, Danny practised as a Solicitor at Hawthorne Cuppaidge and Badgery, Australia in the Commercial, Property and Migration section. His specialist areas of practice were leasing, commercial property, franchising and business acquisitions/disposal.

He has also been involved in delivering similar presentations and mediation theatres to law firms and businesses in the UK.
