Age Concern is a federation of hundreds of separate Age Concern Groups and Organisations, each with their own trustees and providing a wide range of services in their localities.
Age Concern England supported the establishment of a dispute resolution service, ACCORD (Age Concern Centre for Overcoming and Resolving Disputes) which is available to all federation members. Age Concern England wished to include a capability within the ACCORD service for fully independent mediation and invited CEDR Solve to discuss the proposal with them.
We established a subsidised, flat-fee pilot scheme funded by Age Concern England for any disputes referred through the ACCORD service and produced a specifically amended version of its model mediation documents for the scheme. Age Concern England selected a panel of mediators for the scheme from recommendations made by CEDR Solve and the panel attended an 'induction' day at Age Concern England's Central London offices.
