Registered status has been discontinued.

What it is:
Registered Mediator status is a demonstration to the marketplace that an individual has developed their mediation experience in line with leading professional standards.

How to obtain it:
Registration is available to all CEDR Accredited mediators who are members of the CEDR Exchange and who submit a logbook demonstrating that they have complied with the CPD practice standards within the preceding two years.

The biennial CEDR CPD practice standards are:

  • Four mediations
  • Written summaries of two mediations
  • Two personal debriefs and debriefing of two other mediators
  • 16 hours of structured training
  • Evidence that further learning has been undertaken.

How long does it last?
A Registration Certificate is valid for two years from the date of issue.

Benefits:
The principal benefit of holding, and being able to use Registered Mediator status is that it demonstrates that an individual is committed to developing their mediation skills and experience beyond the initial requirements of accreditation.

Recognising this commitment, Registered Mediators will receive:

  • A certificate denoting their status as Registered Mediators (valid for two years from date of issue)
  • Separate identification within the website list of participants of the CEDR Exchange.

Cost:
A fee of £200 + VAT (£235.00 inclusive) is payable with each logbook submitted for biennial assessment.

Assessment fees will not be refundable in the event that Registered Mediator status is not granted, although opportunities may be given to correct logbook omissions during the assessment.
