Daria Viola - Course Manager

Daria graduated with a degree in Political Science and International Law from the University of Political Science of Milan, Italy in 1999. Whist at University she worked part-time as the Events Manager for a PR agency, where her responsibilities included the organisation of events for Microsoft and various Italian Banks throughout Italy. When she moved to London in September 2000 she volunteered at UNICEF and Save the Children where she was looking for new funding opportunities. Before joining CEDR in February 2005, she held the positions of Events Co-ordinator and Executive Assistant at the Directory of Social Change, a training and information provider for the voluntary sector. She was also the Trustee of a London-based charity that provides counselling and help for women who are victims of domestic violence.

Daria has over 5 years experience in the management of CEDR' s internationally recognised Mediator Skills Training course both in the UK and abroad as well as Mediation awareness sessions and other CPD courses.  Her duties include meeting with prospective clients to explore and define their objectives and training needs, designing training solutions by combining or customising existing course modules or commissioning new modules, project managing the design and delivery of training packages and presenting solutions for training and consultancy in the form of proposals to clients. She also looks after the CEDR faculty development.  Daria became a CEDR Accredited Mediator in 2006 and has been involved in a number of different mediations, including contracts, community and workplace disputes.

Daria is a fluent Italian, Serbo-Croatian and Spanish speaker. She has also a basic knowledge of German and Russian.
