Lisa Drake - Director, Marketing and Operations

Lisa is a CEDR Director and CEDR Accredited Mediator. She is responsible for CEDR’s Marketing, Development and internal operations and co-ordinates strategic and operational activity across the organisation.

Having joined CEDR in 1999, Lisa has held a number of roles across the organisation. In her early years, she worked within CEDR's Training department developing a continuing professional development framework providing the first professional standard for mediators, and the design and delivery of an advanced mediator training programme. She was instrumental in CEDR’s rebrand in 2001 and since then has managed CEDR’s Marketing and Development functions with a particular focus on CEDR’s communications strategy and improving business effectiveness.

Lisa has led a number of groundbreaking projects which have contributed to CEDR achieving its leading reputation in today's civil justice system, both in the UK and internationally. These have ranged from the development of industry leading publications, conferences, research and sector development initiatives including the production and editorial of a range of tailored mediation guides for judges, corporate executives and public sector managers.

Accredited in 2001, Lisa has mediated a range of disputes ranging from commercial contract, partnership, employment, housing and neighbourhood disputes and has experience of both face-to -face and telephone mediation, including a secondment to provide an intensive telephone mediation service. Lisa also managed a two year DfiD funded project to introduce mediation in Slovakia as part of their accession to Europe programme.

Lisa graduated from The University of Liverpool with a BA (Hons) in Sociology, specialising in Socio Legal Studies and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
