Andrzej Grossman - Director

Andy Grossman is CEDR's Director of Dispute Resolution Services and is also responsible for CEDR's development work in the public sector.

Andy is an architect by original profession and before joining CEDR in 1999, he worked on commissions in the UK, Middle East, Europe and North America for private, public sector and commercial clients.

He gained CEDR Accreditation in 1995 and as a CEDR Solve Mediator his mediation experience primarily covers professional negligence, planning and construction cases. He also has substantial experience of acting as an independent chair to assist in decision-making within public authority environments,or to assist in discussions and negotiations between public authorities and external stakeholders on major projects.

Andy has been a member of the CEDR training faculty since 1996 and has given seminars on ADR to many professional firms, commercial organisations and government agencies.

Andy also has first-hand cultural knowledge and experience of working and living in Poland, Cyprus, Nigeria and Germany, which has been used in his mediation and training for CEDR.

Part of Andy's development work at CEDR has involved the production of a number of CEDR publications including its ADR Guide for Public Authorities, ADR Guide for Local Authorities in Public Private Partnerships and Dispute Resolution Procedure for PFI and Long Term Contracts.

Andy is a chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a member of the Society of Construction Law. He holds a Doctorate of Professional Studies in Commercial Mediation Development.
