The nearest airport is Malta International Airport(MLA), which is approximately 20 minutes from the hotel. (distance is 12 kilometres/8 miles)
Malta airport by car
On leaving the airport, take the main road to Marsa, which leads to Valletta. The city centre and airport are both clearly signposted.
Malta airport by coach
Bus number 8 travels between the airport and the main bus station in Valetta, departing every 20 to 30 minutes. The bus stop is located directly outside the departures terminal.
Malta airport by taxi
At the airport, there is a full fixed fare taxi service to all areas of Malta. A taxi booth is located in the Welcomers' Hall where pre-paid tickets may be purchased. A typical fare will cost €20. Alternatively, bus no. 8 departs regularly to/from Valletta and leaves from a bus stop outside the check-in hall.
Partners are welcome to join delegates during their stay on the course, however this will be subject to an additional cost.

Car hire: Hiring a car is possible from the offices situated on the promenade by the hotel. Driving in Malta is on the left hand side of the road.
Diving:The hotel's diving partner runs PADI and IANTD Certified Scuba Diving Courses in Malta all throughout the year. The new dive centre is situated at the water’s edge of the Grand Hotel Excelsior in the Capital city, Valletta. Nightlife: For nightlife and entertainment, St Julian’s is the main place to go to, more precisely Paceville. While St Julian’s is an all-year-round entertainment centre, Buġibba is more popular in the summer. Beaches: On the north coast, the best beaches are at Paradise Bay, Golden Bay, Mellieha Bay, Armier Bay and Ghajn Tuffieha Bay. Il-Qawra is better known as the inland sea, with a secluded bathing pool, crystal-clear water and sheer cliffs.
Taxis: Taxis are white and are normally found outside hotels and in tourist areas. It is advisable to check in advance how much a trip will cost.
Harbour cruises: A cruise in and around Malta's famous Grand Harbour is a must for any visitor. The starting point for most harbour cruises lies along the promenade linking Sliema to Gzira, more specifically the part known as The Ferries. Here one can choose between the services offered by the various companies operating cruises.
Horse Drawn Carriages (Karozzin):A ride in a karozzin is a pleasant way to see the sights. Carriages are found in Valletta, Sliema, St.Julians and Mdina.
Ask the coachman for rates of the various tours before setting off.
