Introduction to mediation in the UK
As part of CEDR's on-going commitment to thought leadership in the field of effective dispute resolution (EDR), this 45 minute interactive seminar is designed to provide lawyers with an introduction to mediation in the United Kingdom and explain where it sits in relation to litigation.
What you will learn
The seminar which draws on the practical mediation experience of both lawyers and CEDR Solve will include the following:
- the core principles of mediation
- the development of mediation in the UK
- comparisons between mediation and litigation
- suitability of cases for mediation
- recent mediation statistics.

This seminar is provided free of charge as part of CEDR's commitment to its members and its not-for-profit role of raising awareness of EDR.
This seminar can be provided to non-members at a fee of £300.00 + VAT.
