Negotiation skills training

CEDR has been in the business of effective dispute resolution for over 17 years.  And in that time we've worked on many thousands of disputes, acting as neutral mediators assisting over 1,500 negotiating teams every year.  We’ve come across every negotiation style imaginable; we know what moves the process forward towards effective outcomes, what moves it backwards; and we seen every trick in the book (as well as many more that aren’t written down anywhere).

All of our negotiation courses combine knowledge inputs with practice and feedback, combing the fruits of our practical experience with the latest academic learning.  The overall emphasis, however, is always on skills development - on learning through practice, feedback, review and reflection – and then further practice.

Three levels of training are available:

• Effective negotiation in the workplace
  A course for people who use negotiation in all sorts of areas of their work, but who have had little in the way of academically grounded, skills based training on effective negotiation
  
  
• Effective negotiation for negotiators
  A course for those who are key negotiators in business deals, legal cases and commercial life. This course aims to build on your negotiation skills base and focus on areas each individual needs to work on in order to achieve even better outcomes.
  
  
• Effective negotiation for executives
  An individualised approach to negotiation training, this draws on coaching methodology in order to work with executives one-to-one on areas of negotiation they personally wish to focus on.

All these courses are aimed at individuals or groups in the commercial and legal fields.  Sample programmes and course descriptions with learning objectives are provided, but please be aware that we are happy to work with you in order to tailor the programmes to the your needs.
