Anthony was an early enthusiast of ADR and Mediation and was one of the first chartered surveyors to be involved in mediation and in mediating property related disputes. He has 22 years’ experience, having been accredited by CEDR in 1993. He is a Chartered Surveyor and Arbitrator, Registered Fixed Charge Receiver and Registered Valuer. His professional background is in property investment, valuation, development, planning and Landlord & Tenant issues and he has wide experience in resolving distressed property portfolios in particularly in respect of Law of Property Act Receivership. He is the founder of Jorden Salata, Chartered Surveyors.
Following his initial mediation experience he was invited to join the CEDR training faculty both as a trainer of mediators and an assessor. He is a former Chairman of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Dispute Resolution Practice panel being responsible for arbitration, adjudication, mediation and independent expert training and it organisation within the RICS.
Experience includes both bilateral and many multi-party disputes and topics have included compulsory purchase and compensation, Landlord & Tenant disputes, rent reviews, solicitors architects and surveyors professional negligence cases, construction, joint venture partnership, valuation disputes, boundary disputes, rights of way issues, town planning matters, fee disputes, and service charge disputes, intestacy, property management and housing disputes, property and real estate disputes, employment issues. Anthony has lectured widely on both dispute resolution, receivership and property related matters and was privileged to give two of the prestigious Bar/Law Society/RICS Blundell Memorial Lectures covering at different times both ADR in commercial disputes and the role of the Expert witness”. He was the author of “Offices Today & Tomorrow”, a property development textbook published by the College of Estate Management at Reading University and was a contributor to “Building Design Utilisation”, published by Spon. He has also contributed to Corporate Recovery & Insolvency.
