Susanne joined CEDR as Assistant Director of Training in 2013. As part of her role she contributes a combination of strategic input, team leadership and training delivery across the entire range of CEDR training and consultancy services, with primary focus on CEDR’s Mediator Skills training programme.
Susanne is an experienced business and intercultural trainer, conflict mediator and coach. Her legal studies, business experience and her work in diversity combine effectively in her mediation role. Susanne’s work covers community mediation as well as corporate and commercial mediation.
Susanne has trained over 1,000 delegates from more than 30 different nationalities in mediation, conflict management, negotiation techniques and diversity & inclusion. She also has facilitated more than 100 mediation and conflict management cases (mainly organisational, intercultural and community conflicts) and successfully helped her customers to resolve their conflicts in a constructive way.
Susanne has delivered programmes for organisations such as: SAP, VW, Johnson Controls, BASF, Novartis, Roche, Syngenta, Genentech, Clariant, KPMG, IKEA, Jet Aviation, SWISS, Unilever, UBS, BNP, Ernst & Young, Panalpina, Agility, ABB, the United Nations and others.
In her role as master trainer, she created the course outlines for a worldwide training measure for SAP in the following topics: conflict management, negotiations and intercultural awareness. Furthermore she trained all trainers delivering these seminars worldwide (Argentina, Canada, India, Israel, Bulgaria, USA, France, China) and she also delivered seminars at a number of these locations personally.
Born in Windhoek, Namibia, Susanne has lived, studied and worked for extended periods in Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, Namibia and the Americas. Susanne is a native German speaker and she is fluent in English, Spanish, and French and proficient in Portuguese.
Susanne holds a BA (Hons) degree in Law from the University of Regensburg, Germany and the University of Málaga, Spain in addition to MA and BA (Hons) degrees in Linguistics from the University of Saarbrücken, Germany and Brussels, Belgium.
Susanne Schuler is an accredited mediator in Germany and Switzerland, and is a CEDR-accredited Mediator in the UK.
Susanne Schuler is member of SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research).
