People train to be a mediator from a variety of professional backgrounds and for many different reasons. Some want to practice as a mediator, some want to embed mediation within their organisation and some want to expand their interpersonal skill-set to become more effective in their everyday professional life. We spoke to The Reverend Gareth J Powell, a Methodist Minister about why he decided to become a CEDR-Accredited Mediator, what he learned and his advice for people considering the training.
