Cedr celebrates 10th anniversary year
CEDR (Centre for Dispute Resolution) enters its 10th Anniversary year with a new logo and celebratory leaflet, highlighting 10 years of mediation success.
"Such is the pace at which we have grown, many have commented that we are now practically unrecognisable from the group who launched CEDR 10 years ago." Chief Executive Karl Mackie told members.
"A new corporate identity is to be launched towards the end of the year, and in the meantime our new CEDRCELEBRAT10N marque will be used."
CEDR is holding a number of 10th Anniversary events including two major conferences:
- 7 April 2000 - CEDR Civil Justice Audit
- November 2000 - International 10th Anniversary Conference
CEDR views its 10th Anniversary not just as a milestone, but a launch pad for further success. The organisations' vision for the next 10 years is two fold:
- To continue to facilitate, by thought and practice leadership, the growth of mediation as the primary dispute resolution tool in Europe and internationally.
- To consolidate its position as the premier global institution of expertise, excellence and innovation in negotiation and third party facilitation and mediation techniques.
An independent non-profit organisation, CEDR has become instrumental in helping to bring ADR into the heart of business practice and into the judicial system.
CEDR has managed over 3,000 mediation referrals covering every industry sector and a wide-ranging cross section of disputes and case values, ranging from less than £5,000 to £1bn matters. Its settlement rate remains one of the highest, at 85 per cent, with mediations lasting an average of 1.1 days and average cost savings of over £85,000 per party per case.
Offering comment, analysis and specialist articles, from unparalleled commercial mediation experience, the Centre for Dispute Resolution is the first port of call for the legal and business press.
