CPD Master Class Seminar: Charting the future and influencing group dynamics
As much as we might want to know the future, we can’t. The complexity spawned by globalisation and pervasive communication has made forecasting more difficult and risky than ever before. Which means that the old management model — forecast, plan, execute — is increasingly challenging. But we can’t not think about the future, so how should we think about it in ways that are productive, resilient and creative? What kinds of people and processes will help — and what will make it more difficult?
Join us for this CEDR Master Class where renowned business thinker, CEO and Author Margaret Heffernan discusses the subject of her new book “Uncharted” on how corporate culture and team dynamics can make the difference between success and failure.
The new book follows on from Margaret Heffernan's hugely influential titles "Willful Blindness" and “A Bigger Prize” where she examines the important issues of Bias and Collaboration (respectively). Her new book also shows its relevance to those in business and who negotiate as part of their career.
Talking to scientists, experts, entrepreneurs and executives, Heffernan discovers that, around the world, individuals and organisations are finding creative ways to work that don't pit people against each other but support them in their desire to find solutions. The future belongs to the people and companies who look to create influence in different and appropriately creative ways.
Join us immediately following the Master Class for a Workshop in the second hour designed to explore the skills around influencing discussed in the session.
This Profesional Development Session (carrying 2 CPD Points) is relevant for those interested in Mediation, Negotiation and Dispute Resolution.
