David has been mediating cases since 1991, principally involving all aspects of the construction industry both in the UK and overseas. Apart from construction, disputes have included partnerships, patents, professional negligence, oil and gas, energy, health services, retail, IT, insurance and regulatory matters. He was a co-founder of CEDR and a Director until 2002. David has been part of the CEDR Mediation Training Faculty since the beginning. He is joint author of The ADR Practice Guide, now in its 3rd edition. He has also carried out conciliations under the ICE Conciliation Procedure, including the making of Recommendations. Acting as an adjudicator, he was appointed in 40 adjudications including a number involving Wembley Stadium.

Now conducts Appeals in the Privy Council dealing with Appeals from overseas jurisdiction dealing with all aspects of the law. He is an accredited Mediator with CEDR, the Academy of Experts and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, an accredited Adjudicator with both CEDR and the Technology and Construction Solicitors Association (TeCSA) and a member of the CEDR Training Faculty and has been a member of the CIArb and TcCSA Faculties. Has lectured on ADR around the world. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (both Arbitration and Mediation) and Chairman of PIM Senior Mediators.
