Short Introduction
Mediation is a mix of empathy and legal analysis. I am delighted to have spent the last 13 years developing the skills I used as a litigation solicitor to help people resolve their difference through mediation. it is a privilege to facilitate an opportunity for parties to say what they want about a dispute in their own words and once they have done so to help them focus on risk analysis to determine a sensible basis on which to settle.
About Work
I am a commercial mediator and my work covers a large number of sectors, although a significant proportion includes some element of real estate. I firmly believe that empathy is the key to getting parties comfortable with a settlement, albeit that some rigorous reality testing is normally needed to! My background as a litigation partner in a major law firm gives me the skills to get to grips with the dispute and move quickly beyond the facts and law to discussing solutions.
