Passionate about affording parties in conflict with the power of mediation. I work with clients to adapt the mediation process to best suit their needs and set every mediation up with the best chance of reaching settlement, in an inclusive manner. It is a privilege to work in a continually evolving profession. I particularly enjoy the crossover between negotiation and the human dimension of dispute resolution.

About Work

A solicitor by background, I am a full-time CEDR-Accredited mediator, with a busy commercial practice. I have nearly 20 years experience as a commercial mediator and have carried out over 350 commercial mediations to date. I am ranked in Band 2 with Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500 directories. I was awarded the Client Choice Award by Lexology in 2025. I have published articles and regularly speak on mediation-related topics in public. My practice includes a number of general commercial sectors, such as property and construction, professional negligence and shareholder disputes. I also enjoy working on contentious probate matters, where creative solutions can be identified whilst respecting the sometimes very personal nature of a dispute. Clients note my calm and professional approach, with a strong emphasis on preparation. I seek to connect with the parties and create an environment where open dialogue is possible. I am persistent and proactive, patient when needed but also willing to challenge parties to help make progress on the day. If a mediation does not settle on the day I will work with the parties shortly afterwards, to do all I can to help reach settlement of their dispute. I have real empathy for parties who find themselves in conflict, and will persevere in helping identify solutions, even when circumstances are difficult and individuals are entrenched. Most mediations I work on settle on the day or shortly thereafter.
