About Work

My mediation approach is grounded in the belief that the most valuable service a mediator can provide is to help parties build a constructive, workable dialogue. Through this dialogue, they can jointly understand the deeper reasons behind their conflict and take ownership of the decisions that will shape their future. Central to my practice is empowering parties to engage directly with each other, without intermediaries, recognizing that they are the true experts of their dispute. Only they know what genuinely matters in their lives, and only they can determine the most suitable path forward. Since 2000, I have undertaken more than twenty years of extensive training in Alternative Dispute Resolution and mediation, studying a variety of approaches and models with some of the most influential trainers in the field, including Ury, Cloke, Hoffman, Friedman, Golann, Mnookin, Folger, and Morineau. My work is facilitative and problem-solving oriented: I help parties establish a cooperative working relationship, promote constructive dialogue, and support them in achieving shared understanding and taking responsibility for designing solutions. My experience spans a wide variety of disputes, including complex commercial, environmental, insurance, and family matters. Among notable cases are: contractual dispute between a municipality and an energy company regarding district-heating services from a biomass plant; insurance dispute involving two insurers and a shipyard concerning a newly built ship destroyed by fire; environmental dispute between a major city’s administration and farming companies over soil contamination on municipal land; high-stakes family conflict within a well-known Italian business dynasty.
