Heather Allen
Lead Faculty, Trainer
Short Introduction
I love my work as a mediator and I aim to bring my experience, enthusiasm and energy into the training room to inspire others through conversation, practice and coaching.
About Work
After indulging in a degree in English language and literature, Heather joined the oil industry, worked in advertising and marketing, ran a small publishing company as the managing editor, and then qualified as a barrister. She entered the mediation profession as an experienced facilitator and, alongside her mediation practice, she uses conflict creatively in facilitating strategic planning and supporting leadership development.
Heather is a Civil Mediation Council Fellow. This recognises her status as a leader in the field and a contributor to the development of the mediation profession. Heather served on the CMC Board for 12 years at its inception.
On a pro bono basis Heather has mediated community disputes and local health service complaints. She believes in expanding the mediation field in ways that increase access, extend inclusivity, preserve flexibility and ensure excellent service delivery.
