Short Introduction

John is an enthusiastic and energetic person with a can do attitude. He thrives on challenges approaching work (and life) with passion and energy. He has a keen sense of humour which he uses to good effect. He is very perceptive, and intuitive which allows him to swiftly develop rapport, trust and strong relationships in his training and wider work. He is loyal, hard working and thrives in the a team environment and always willing to go the extra mile.

About Work

After an early career in education John moved into training and development working with a broad section of companies and organisations across many sectors. He is passionate about enabling people to learn, grow, to use and develop the skills and abilities they have and to 'achieve'. This informs his predominate and favoured training style that of enabling and facilitation. Equality is critically important to him and all he does. Whilst offering appropriate leadership, he is always keen to learn from other colleagues, cultures, traditions and professional disciplines. A commitment to reflective practice and a willingness to receive clearly and honest feedback allows him to constantly improve content, delivery and relationships. As well as having an extensive experience in training and development (gained from many professional sectors, disciplines and countries), he has coached and mentored many colleagues individually) and worked closely with Senior Management teams enabling them to be more effective, dynamic and professional. Whilst he is very capable working independently he prefers working alongside colleagues as he finds this helps release his creativity and ability to use different skills, techniques and approaches in establish the most appropriate learning environment for delegates. It also allows him to be flexible in delivery without losing sight of the aims and objectives agreed. He is committed to resolving conflict through mediation and is fascinated by the influence of culture and how it impacts this and strives to make learning culturally specific.
