Coach, Assessor
Short Introduction
One of the greatest privileges about being part of the CEDR Faculty is having the opportunity of working with people from all over the world.
Sharing my experience of mediating with senior professionals, either wanting themselves to mediate or to bring mediation into their organisation, is a virtuous cycle - I bring practical experience of mediation into the training arena for delegates and I almost always take back new ideas and skills back into my mediation practice.
About Work
After graduating in European Studies, I worked at Merchant Bank SG Warburg before moving to Paris in the mid 1980’s initially to work for the Paris office of Hamptons international and then insurance broker Sedgwick PLC. Here I supported the team involved in consolidating communication and HR policies across the organisation’s newly acquired European offices.
On moving back to London, I changed careers and joined a City PR firm and gained the Stock Exchange Registered Representative status. As Director, I led the firm’s corporate and investor relations and professional services work, advising both PLCs and private companies on their PR and IR strategies.
Children brought about a second career change and I was fortunate enough to start working with CEDR in its early years as a Consultant, using my communications background to promote mediation and by association CEDR to both the legal and business communities.
I took the Mediator Skills Training in 2005 and joined CEDR's Mediator Panel in 2008 since when I have assisted hundreds of disputing parties to settlement. I joined CEDR Faculty in 2015 working with delegates wishing themselves to mediate, with Accredited mediators looking to get their practice up and running and with lawyers looking to understand the mediation process to better represent their clients.
