Baria Ahmed is an international commercial mediator, arbitrator and ADR consultant with more than 20 years' experience in dispute resolution. Formerly Head of CEDR Solve and founding Director General of the Arbitration and Mediation Court of the Caribbean, she has mediated a wide range of commercial, construction, banking, employment and professional negligence disputes for businesses and individuals across multiple jurisdictions.
Having delivered dispute resolution and institutional development projects for organisations including the World Bank, United Nations and European Union, Baria brings extensive international experience and cultural awareness to her mediation practice. About Work
International commercial disputes form a significant part of Baria's mediation practice, alongside construction and engineering, banking and finance, employment, professional negligence and property related matters. She regularly assists businesses, professionals and individuals in resolving disputes involving contractual relationships, commercial partnerships, workplace issues and cross border interests.
Prior to establishing her own consultancy practice, Baria led CEDR Solve, one of Europe's leading ADR service providers. She has also worked extensively with governments, international institutions and private organisations on mediation and dispute resolution projects across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean.
Baria has extensive experience mediating disputes involving banking and finance, shareholder and partnership disagreements, construction projects, intellectual property, insurance, professional negligence, probate, matrimonial finance and commercial contracts. Her practice spans both domestic and international disputes, often involving multiple stakeholders and complex commercial considerations.
