Short Introduction

Mediation matters to me because it helps people move from feeling stuck to seeing possibility again and regain control at moments of real tension. I love the shift that happens when conversations become constructive and options appear. I’m known for building rapport quickly, being straight-talking, pragmatic and focused on what matters to the people in the room, guiding them in a practical way. Helping people resolve conflicts they thought were unresolvable is the part of my work I’m proudest of.

About Work

With over two decades of experience as a mediator, facilitator and dispute-resolution consultant, I have worked across a broad spectrum of disputes including international commercial contracts, Investor- State Disputes, Insurance and Finance, Technology, Media & Telecommunications , Property, Internal business disputes and public-sector conflicts My practice spans the UK and numerous international jurisdictions, regularly involving complex, high-value and multi-party matters. These include multi-million-dollar commercial disputes, sensitive workplace and discrimination cases, and cross-border conflicts requiring close attention to cultural and relational dynamics. As a qualified lawyer, I am able to quickly grasp both the technical and commercial context of a dispute, enabling parties to move efficiently towards informed decision-making. My style combines thorough preparation, strong process management, and a practical, straight-talking approach aimed at helping parties evaluate options realistically and reach outcomes they can work with. Clients consistently highlight my ability to understand issues rapidly, manage challenging personalities, and maintain clarity and momentum in difficult situations. Feedback often notes my capacity to build rapport early, keep discussions constructive, and balance assertiveness with approachability in emotionally charged or highly technical cases Alongside casework, I bring extensive international consultancy experience advising governments, courts, and global institutions such as the World Bank, EBRD and Council of Europe. This work—spanning Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East—deepens my understanding of how conflict operates within organisational structures. Together, this blend of practical mediation experience, legal insight and global perspective shapes a mediation approach that is calm, commercially grounded and focused on achieving clear, pragmatic outcomes.
