Kelly Stricklin-Coutinho is an experienced commercial mediator, barrister and former solicitor with over 15 years of litigation and dispute resolution experience. A member of CEDR's Faculty of Trainers, she specialises in complex commercial disputes, financial services, shareholder conflicts, public sector matters, regulatory disputes and international trade issues.
Drawing on experience gained in private practice, international law firms, a Big Four professional services firm and as counsel before courts and tribunals at all levels, Kelly combines strong legal expertise with a pragmatic and commercially focused mediation style. Commercial, financial services and public sector disputes form the core of Kelly's mediation practice. She regularly assists parties in resolving shareholder disputes, company conflicts, regulatory matters, financial services disputes, procurement issues, tax related disputes and complex commercial disagreements.
Alongside her mediation work, Kelly practises as a barrister with extensive experience acting for businesses, government bodies, regulators, financial institutions and private clients. Her background includes litigation before domestic and international courts and tribunals, giving her a strong understanding of legal risk, commercial realities and stakeholder interests.
Her mediation experience includes shareholder disputes, corporate group conflicts, state aid and subsidy matters, financial services complaints, commercial contract disputes, transport and infrastructure disputes, education sector conflicts and disputes involving government authorities.
