Frank Eijkman
Conflict Management Trainer
Short Introduction
Frank is passionate about helping people approach conflict in constructive and respectful ways, whether through mediation, training, or building communities of practice. He mediates across commercial, consumer, and community disputes and leads initiatives like the CEDR Skills for Life Programme, helping young people develop communication skills. Frank is especially proud of creating opportunities for students and professionals to grow – from coaching future negotiators on the international stage to curating development programmes that support dispute resolution practitioners throughout their careers.
About Work
Frank mediates across commercial, consumer, and community disputes. He is currently a conciliator for the Federation of Master Builders, the Glass and Glazing Federation, and the National Association of Funeral Directors. He also volunteers with the Lambeth Community Mediation Service and the Strathclyde Mediation Clinic.
With a passion for empowering young people to develop conflict resolution skills, Frank has delivered training to over 1,000 participants and has worked in partnership with organisations including Girls Human Rights Hub, Solutions Not Sides, the Ukrainian Mediation Centre, and Lex Fellowship. He co-designed and developed the CEDR Skills for Life Programme, an online training course for 16–25-year-olds focusing on core communication skills for difficult conversations.
A regular speaker on mediation and conflict skills, Frank has presented to law firms, corporates, and international bodies, including White & Case LLP, Outkruit, Public Administration International, and the Beijing Arbitration Commission.
Since 2021, Frank has led the annual National Student Negotiation Competition for England and Wales, supporting students from over 40 law schools to develop negotiation skills and represent their country at the International Negotiation Competition.
He also manages the MyCEDR Network, a professional development network with over 700 members, curating six annual masterclasses and a monthly news Bulletin to provide ongoing training and support for dispute resolution professionals.
