Liz Rivers
Coach, Assessor, EWMST lead
Short Introduction
Former shoulder-padded litigation lawyer turned mediator/coach/storyteller/wild swimmer/tree hugger.
I first came across mediation and CEDR in 1990 when I was a young, yet disillusioned, litigation lawyer.
"It's better to light a candle than curse the darkness" is my motto for mediation. Let's create non-judgmental spaces where people can take the risk to be vulnerable and see each other's humanity.
About Work
Formerly a commercial litigation lawyer in the City for a decade, I moved into mediation. I was the first woman in the UK to become a CEDR accredited mediator and I've been on the faculty for over 3 decades.
I'm also a leadership coach and co-founded Purpose Power Presence to offer innovative programmes for women leaders.
