Overview

Andrew trained as a mediator with CEDR in 2002 and has since conducted in excess of 150 mediations in the Private, Public and Voluntary sectors. He has also trained clients and solicitors in mediation skills and is passionate about the effectiveness of mediation as a dispute resolution tool. He is a Partner and Head of the Construction & Procurement Dispute Team for a firm of Solicitors in Birmingham. His firm operates nationally within niche areas in the Commercial and Public sectors.

Professional Background

As a lawyer, Andrew has 30 years’ experience of handling heavy-weight commercial disputes, including substantial shareholder and contractual disputes within the automotive and aircraft sectors and complex construction related disputes. Due to the nature of his firm’s client base, Andrew also has significant experience handling disputes in the Public sector, the Voluntary sector and for Registered Providers of Social Housing. His experience keeps him up to date with the issues that are frequently the subject of mediations and also enables him to understand fully the position of each party and their representatives and to enable him to add value to the mediation process.
