Testimonials

"Your approach was exactly what was required. You had a real understanding of the case and the drivers for settlement. Given the personalities involved, it was hard work, but you kept the mediation process moving forward and we got the deal done – thank you."

(Partner, law firm)

"I just wanted to thank you again for the role that you played in getting this settlement over the line. Our client has specifically emailed me to say that you are the best mediator they have worked with!"

(Partner, Law Firm)

"We were very happy with the conduct of the day. In particular [we] liked the fact you were not afraid to probe some of our assumptions and challenge us, albeit of course in a neutral way."

Experience & Mediation Approach

Amrik mediates complex commercial and civil disputes across a broad range of industries including construction, engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, technology, energy, transport, finance, property and professional services.

Prior to becoming a full-time mediator, he spent 25 years with a leading international law firm, where he held senior leadership positions and advised clients on high-value and business-critical disputes. His experience spans litigation, arbitration, adjudication and mediation, giving him a deep understanding of the commercial and strategic considerations that influence settlement.

Many of Amrik's mediations involve disputes where ongoing commercial relationships are just as important as the financial value in issue. He is particularly sought after for matters involving significant barriers to settlement, multiple stakeholders and technically complex issues.

Clients frequently describe Amrik as collaborative, commercially astute and highly effective at building trust. He invests significant time before the mediation day engaging with parties and advisers to understand key issues and prepare the groundwork for constructive discussions. As he explains, mediation allows businesses to reclaim control of disputes, avoid unnecessary cost and disruption, and secure practical outcomes that work for all parties involved.
