About Work
With over 40 years of legal experience, Neil has built a career rooted in complex dispute resolution. As Senior Litigation Partner at a leading law firm in the north of England for 27 years, he advised and represented clients in a wide range of contentious matters including contract, commercial, partnership, employment, professional negligence, clinical negligence, and personal injury claims. Earlier in his career, he also handled serious criminal and fraud cases.
For more than two decades, Neil has mediated regularly across many sectors—resolving issues ranging from emotionally charged workplace disputes to multi-million-pound commercial and professional negligence claims. His real-world litigation insight provides clients with a mediator who understands the practical, personal, and financial stakes of every case.
Neil offers a calm, focused, and pragmatic mediation experience. He creates a safe and confidential space for parties to engage in meaningful dialogue—whether directly or indirectly. His default approach is facilitative, but he is also prepared to challenge assumptions, ask difficult questions, and adopt a firm stance when it helps move parties toward resolution. Persistence, clarity, and empathy define his approach.
