Neil Goodrum is a highly experienced commercial mediator and former litigation solicitor with more than 40 years of dispute resolution experience. A CMC Fellow, member of CEDR Chambers and lead member of CEDR's Training Faculty, he has successfully mediated hundreds of disputes across a wide range of sectors, including commercial contracts, shareholder disputes, professional negligence, property, sports, employment and trusts and probate matters.
 
Having spent over 27 years as a Senior Litigation Partner at McCormicks Solicitors, Neil combines strong legal expertise with a practical and commercially focused mediation style. He is particularly recognised for his work in complex commercial disputes, partnership and shareholder conflicts, sports disputes and high-value contractual claims, helping parties find realistic and sustainable solutions.

Neil Goodrum mediates a broad range of commercial, shareholder, partnership, property, sports, professional negligence and trusts and probate disputes. He regularly assists businesses, professionals, sports organisations, family-owned companies and private individuals in resolving complex disputes involving contractual relationships, governance issues, commercial risk and long-standing conflicts.
 
Before becoming a full-time mediator, Neil spent more than four decades working almost exclusively on contested matters, including 27 years as a Senior Litigation Partner at McCormicks Solicitors. His background spans commercial litigation, employment law, professional negligence, personal injury, clinical negligence and sports law, providing him with a detailed understanding of both legal and commercial drivers of conflict.
 
His mediation experience includes commercial contract disputes, joint ventures, franchise agreements, shareholder and partnership conflicts, agency disputes, property matters, inheritance and probate claims, professional negligence cases and high-profile sports disputes. As former Chairman of the Football League Disciplinary Commission, he also brings significant expertise in sports governance, regulatory matters and athlete-related disputes.
