Neil Goodrum

With over 40 years of legal experience, Neil has built a career rooted in complex dispute resolution. As Senior Litigation Partner at McCormicks Solicitors for 27 years, he advised and represented clients in a wide range of contentious matters including contract, commercial, partnership, employment, professional negligence, clinical negligence, and personal injury claims. Earlier in his career, he also handled serious criminal and fraud cases. For more than two decades, Neil has mediated regularly across many sectors—resolving issues ranging from emotionally charged workplace disputes to multi-million-pound commercial and professional negligence claims. His real-world litigation insight provides clients with a mediator who understands the practical, personal, and financial stakes of every case. As an enthusiastic member of the CEDR Training Faculty, Neil enjoys working with aspiring mediators both in the UK and abroad. He finds it particularly rewarding to meet in his capacity as a trainer a wide range of talent people who bring different skills and experience to their work as mediators. In addition to training mediators, Neil has worked with the CEDR Training Faculty in the context of workplace mediation, mediation advocacy and negotiation.
