Ronald was accredited by CEDR as a mediator in May 1993 and works with CEDR as a CEDR Solve mediator, as part of its training faculty and as a consultant with the primary focus of increasing CEDR's profile in the North/East of England.
A graduate of Cambridge University, a Solicitor specialising in litigation, Ronald is currently head of ADR services at Eversheds and was previously Managing Partner and subsequently Senior Partner of Wilkinson Maughan, latterly Eversheds, until May 2000 after eight years in those positions. He runs internal training at Eversheds on a regular basis and set up his own in-house Training Programme for his firm in 1994 to enable fee-earners to understand mediation and to work effectively with clients at mediation. Part of his current role is to continue that in-house training throughout the firm worldwide.
Ronald is one of CEDR's most experienced mediators and has mediated across a broad range of sectors, reflecting the wide scope of his legal practice. He is also Chairman of Northern Dispute Resolutions Limited and he lectures frequently on ADR to a wide variety of audiences. He served for several years as a non-executive member of an NHS Trust, was Vice-Chairman of its Ethical Committee and Chairman of its Mental Health Act Panel.
